The many months of frustration are other – my hosting issues have now been sorted and work has begun on the site once again. For quite some time, I had been unable to update ‘Kevin’s Portal’ and then it disappeared completely. I have finally been able to move that entire site over to the hosting service I use for everything else and it is all up again, along with a few improvements and continuing enhancements. I am just so pleased to have finally got it all sorted, as now I can get on with the work.
Slowly but surely this link will become available across all of my sites – I think all of the Blogs have been updated, along with a few other social networks and web applications (with many more to be updated).
I have also been working on the ‘Wider Church’ section of the site. I am keen to have a page for every nation of the world there eventually, along with various facts and pieces of information concerning the Lord’s work in these places (especially from a Reformed perspective). I will have RSS feeds concerning these countries from my Random Thoughts Blog, which will include various articles and videos on persecution in those countries. This will take time to achieve, but the work has begun.
I have included a major update to the wider church pages, which so far only include the countries of Ecuador, India and Mongolia – however, this will allow me to press ahead with pages for other countries around the world as well, which is something I have wanted to do for a while.
The important part of this update has been to include a feed of categories for each country posted in my Random Thoughts blog, as this will provide a very easily accessed archive of posts concerning incidents of persecution in the country concerned, news reports, etc.
A fair amount of content has been scrapped from the School of Theology, but this will be returned over the next few weeks in the format of the studies already available there. The way the theology section of the site is now set up will allow for far easier updates into the future.
2. The Particular and Reformed Baptist Fellowship Network section of the site has now been overhauled, though there is still more work to be done on this section of the site. I expect more improvements to part of the site in coming weeks.
3. The Random Thoughts Blog has been given a major overhaul (though it was easily accomplished). I believe the site is far more aesthetically pleasing and gives the visitor a much easier and enjoyable reading experience.
